Tuning/Pitch-Raise

A tuning should be performed annually at minimum. Pianos that have gone longer without a tune may require a pitch raise.

Regulation

The internal mechanism of a piano, known as the action, has thousands of moving parts that loosen over time. We suggest regulating your piano every three to five years, depending on daily use.

Upright regulation time is six to eight hours. Grand regulation time is three days.

Voicing

Voicing refers to the adjustments made to the tone of the instrument. This process involves some regulation procedures as well as hammer work.

Upright voicing time is five to six hours. Grand voicing time is six to eight hours.

Appraisals

We provide written appraisals for insurance purposes. Turnaround time is three business days after the in-home visit. Our customers receive a complimentary appraisal letter should they wish to insure their piano separately from their other belongings.
